We begin with your goals, your current level, and the movement patterns holding you back.
02
TRAIN
Your privates, classes, and training partners connect in one focused plan built around you.
03

WHAT AN IMMERSION FEELS LIKE
A RHYTHM BUILT AROUND YOU.
Your days can include a private lesson, guided training, time to rest or work, shared meals and a São Paulo social. Every schedule is different because every immersion is personal.

PROFESSORS + COACHING
You are not assigned one teacher and left to figure it out. We work with a curated network of Brazilian Zouk professionals, matching professors and training partners to what you are developing now.
WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE
01 / A coach follows your development—not just your schedule.
02 / Professors and partners are selected around the skills you need to build.
03 / Feedback connects lessons, training, socials and your next adjustment.
LIVE AT THE REFÚGIO
The Refúgio gives the immersion room to breathe: spaces to train, recover, work, eat together, connect with the people around you, and join community events and programming.

ZOUK IN SÃO PAULO
During the day, you train with intention. At night, you can take those ideas to São Paulo’s socials—dancing with different people, feeling how they work in real time and bringing that experience back into the next session.
THE SOCIAL FLOOR BECOMES PART OF THE PLAN
Apply the ideas you are training.
Build confidence with different partners.
Return with real questions for your next coaching conversation.
A Refúgio immersion is not a fixed package. Our immersions, like Zouk itself, adapt to who we move with—deepening through practice and becoming real in the way you move through São Paulo.

01 / ARRIVE WITH CLARITY
We begin with your goals, experience and the kind of dancer you want to become.

02 / TRAIN WITH INTENTION
Private lessons, guided practice and feedback keep every session connected.

03 / LIVE THE LEARNING
Recover, connect and take the work to São Paulo’s social floor.
FAQ
What does the program cost?
Cost depends on your dates and how long you stay. We'll walk you through the numbers during your application — no guesswork, no surprises. Watch Mo break it down below.
Is São Paulo / Vila Madalena safe?
We're based in Vila Madalena — the safest, most vibrant neighborhood in São Paulo. Gated building, cameras, night patrols. We Uber to socials together, and someone from the house will accompany solo guests who'd like company. Watch why we chose this neighborhood below.
What currency is the payment made in?
All payments are made in USD.
Is Zouk Refúgio a hostel?
No, we are not a hostel. Zouk Refúgio is a Zouk immersion program designed to provide a complete dance and cultural experience.
Are the rooms shared?
No, all rooms are private. If you are coming as a couple or with a friend, please contact us. We may be able to offer a special rate.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. Many guests arrive solo. Your plan can include coaching, training partners, shared meals and social experiences that make it easy to settle into the Refúgio.
Is the immersion program available year-round?
Yes, our immersion program runs all year long. The best time to come is before or after the international (high) season, when you get more space to enjoy in socials.
Do I need prior experience in Zouk?
No prior experience is required. Our program is fully personalized based on your level: from complete beginners to advanced dancers.
How do I get started or learn more about the programs?
Send us a DM and our team will guide you through the options — online coaching, personalized lesson plans, or in-person immersions — based on your goals and availability. We'll help you figure out the best fit before anything is booked.
