Is Zouk Refúgio a hostel?

No, we are not a hostel. Zouk Refúgio is a Zouk immersion program designed to provide a complete dance and cultural experience.

Are the rooms shared?

No, all rooms are private. If you are coming as a couple or with a friend, please contact us. We may be able to offer a special rate.

How much does it cost?

Programs range based on length and intensity — weekly intensives and monthly residencies. We go through exact pricing on your call, after we’ve reviewed your application and know which program actually fits you. We do this because recommending the wrong program helps nobody.

Do I need to speak Portuguese to join?

No. All coaching, privates, and communication with the team are done in English. You’ll pick up some Portuguese naturally along the way, but it’s not a requirement to have an amazing experience.

I don’t feel confident socially yet — will I be out of place?

Not at all. Most of our students arrive feeling exactly this way. That’s actually one of the core things the immersion is built to solve — you’ll build social confidence gradually, with support, inside a real practice culture, not by being thrown into the deep end.

Do I train alone or with a group?

Both. You get private lessons tailored to your level, plus scheduled group trainings and socials with the local community — so you get personalized coaching and real social immersion, not just isolated classes.
