The Refúgio lounge at night: sofas with colourful cushions, glowing lamps and glass doors onto a planted terrace

The Refúgio

More than a place to stay.

A house in São Paulo where zoukers train, work, eat and live together. Never more than five guests at a time.

Five at most

A home with the dance floor downstairs.

Lessons and training happen in the house, so the way from your room to the studio is a staircase. Between sessions there is a pool, a rooftop, a coworking space and a table where the guests and staff have lunch together.

Training spaces

Three dance floors inside the house. Private lessons and structured training happen here, a few steps from your room — and so do the socials and parties the house hosts.

For longer stays and remote work

Live around the dance.

Work in the morning. Train in the afternoon. Dance at night. A few weeks in São Paulo with a rhythm that makes sense, and people to share it with.

An illustrative day, not a guaranteed schedule.

  1. The long wooden meeting table at night, with teal and blue chairs, an orchid centrepiece and warm floor lamps

    Morning

A coffee and a quiet desk

Open the laptop where you live. Hours for work, with the dancing close by and nobody asking you to be anywhere else.

  2. Three dancers training together in a bright studio, one pointing down to the floor as they work a step

    Afternoon

    Your session

A lesson, then training with someone who can tell you what they see. The work you do here is meant to show up on the dance floor.

  3. Three people sitting at the edge of the pool, talking

    Evening

The pool, a table, other people

The house fills up as everyone comes back from their day. Somewhere to cool off, to cook or to eat together, to talk about the lesson or about anything else.

  4. A crowded social dance night at a São Paulo venue, couples dancing under coloured lights

    Night

    São Paulo dances

Out to a social, together. Some nights are for dancing until late; some are for sleeping. A longer stay lets you do both.
