The table
Lunch that doesn’t end
Dancers around one table, talking about the lesson, the music, the trip, the week. This is where strangers stop being strangers.
The Refúgio experience
Pool days. Hammocks. Long lunches that turn into long conversations. Socials you walk into together. And somewhere in the middle of it, the best learning of your year.

The pause
Between sessions, you rest. Nobody schedules this part, and it matters as much as the rest.
The floor
At a São Paulo social you walk in with friends, and the floor feels less like a test and more like a conversation that’s already started.
The learning
Private lessons and structured training give the days a spine. The community gives them a reason to come back tomorrow.
The people
An international community of dancers, with one language in common.
The Wednesday
The house also opens for a Zouk training evening: a class for people who are starting out, open floor time for whoever wants to train, and the hour afterwards when nobody dances and everybody talks. Dates and details are announced on Instagram.
Neither, exactly. It’s a place to live and learn at the same time: the teaching is individual, and the days around it are shared.
You don’t need to know anyone. The house, the sessions and the socials are meant to bring you into things quickly.
No. There are socials, and we go together, but resting is part of the rhythm too.
